~The Scarlet Plus-Fours Fallout: New Vegas Picture Diary~
Starring Gracie Cutesman-Pieworthy
Fallout: New Vegas is one of the Fallout games, set in and around a city called New Vegas, which developed from Las Vegas after much of the surrounding America was destroyed in a nuclear war. It's a special game to a lot of Fallout fans, with characters and stories that feel human, different paths you can take through the main storyline, and a powerful, melancholy, yet beautiful atmosphere.
Since taking screenshots is such fun, I've started a new SSLP, which should eventually cover a whole game of Fallout: New Vegas and some of the expansion packs. I'm playing as a certified Charming Young Lady, complete with silver tongue, plasma weaponry, spiked knuckledusters and many bottles of Sunset Sarsaparilla. I hope you like it.
Chapter 4: Out-of-this-World Fun at the REPCONN Test Site
Gracie had found the dinosaur situation in Novac a little bit underwhelming, but if nothing else there was a sniper in its mouth. She got to know Manny Vargas, who wears a Merc Adventurer Outfit, and asked whether he'd seen a lot of men in chequered suits recently.

Gracie, aware that she might be overdressed
Manny had seen a bloke who fit the description, but he decided to extort Gracie for free labour before giving her the details. Remembering Three Dog, Gracie bit back a vicious retort and agreed to investigate the REPCONN building, which had apparently been disgorging feral ghouls.

"Well, I suppose this does look fun!" --Gracie

"Well, um, I suppose it hasn't seen any paint or a janitor for two hundred years." --Gracie

"Why on Earth did I agree to do this?" --Gracie
In and around the facility, Gracie of course found ghouls. Many feral ghouls, all too happy to come screaming at her, needing deft use of a Cowboy Repeater to put down; and more ghouls in robes, all dead, clutching battered laser rifles. As she helped herself to all the spare laser rifles she could carry, Gracie thought about what could have happened to the ghouls, because feral ghouls never normally attacked healthy ones.

There turned out to be a cult - sorry, New Religious Movement - consisting of ghouls who followed Jason Bright, a charismatic Glowing One. Her head spinning, Gracie listened while Jason told her about their quest to the Great Beyond, a place of sanctuary and healing for ghoulkind, that had been promised by the Creator.

In the facility's basement, there turned out to be Nightkin. Driven bananas by their use of Stealth Boys, these purple super mutants were desperately searching for more Stealth Boys. Her head spinning even more, Gracie listened while Davison and his imaginary friend Antler told her about the stash of Stealth Boys hidden in the facility.
Gracie's head slowed down a bit after a bottle of Sunset Sarsaparilla, whereupon she agreed to help both groups. It didn't take long for her to find the Stealth Boy cupboard, containing a note which explained how the Stealth Boys were going to be delivered to a separate location. To reach the Far Beyond, though, the Bright Brotherhood needed to make use of the facility's old rockets, as well as a human scientist who'd become convinced he was a ghoul.

"But Chris, why? You still have skin!" --Gracie, her head spinning faster than ever before
"Bite my ass, you half-baked centaur." --Chris
Gracie spent a couple of days fetching components to fix the rockets.

Old Lady Gibson, agreeing to give Gracie a deal on an Aeronautics Thingy
Eventually, the time came to launch the rockets and begin the Great Journey. Somebody had to break the news to Chris that he wouldn't be allowed to join the ghouls, since as a regular human he'd be vulnerable to radiation. Gracie tried to let Chris down gently, then let him down violently when he lunged at the control panel to try and blow up the rockets. Gracie looked on, her head finally still, while the Bright Brotherhood ventured off into space.

The Far Beyond... It had sounded like nonsense, but with her help, the Bright Brotherhood were actually on their way. Where to, she had no way of knowing, but she hoped they'd get there safely.
